Tour Plan
Your adventure begins as you depart from Arusha in the morning, making your way to Tarangire National Park, a gem known for its large elephant population and ancient baobab trees. As you enter the park, you’ll begin a game drive through its rolling savannahs, where you can expect to see a variety of wildlife including giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests, all against the stunning backdrop of the Tarangire River. After a picnic lunch in the park, continue your game drive in search of predators like lions and leopards. By late afternoon, you will arrive at your lodge, where you can relax and enjoy the serene surroundings before a delicious dinner is served.
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic gem known for its breathtaking views and diverse ecosystems. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions, a sight you may be fortunate to witness during your game drive. Flamingos dot the lake’s shallow waters, while hippos wallow in the mud along its shores. The lush groundwater forests offer a striking contrast to the open savannahs of Tarangire, providing a different perspective on Tanzania’s rich landscapes. After a full day of exploration, you will retire to your lodge on the escarpment of the Great Rift Valley, where you’ll be treated to magnificent views as the sun sets over the lake.
Today, you will journey to the world-famous Serengeti National Park, with its endless plains and the annual spectacle of the Great Migration. En route, you will pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you may spot wildlife along the way. Upon entering the Serengeti, enjoy an en-route game drive as you make your way to your lodge, located in the heart of the park. The Serengeti is renowned for its incredible density of predators, including lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, as well as its large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, you will arrive at your lodge for a relaxing evening and a well-deserved dinner.
Today is dedicated to exploring the vast Serengeti. After an early breakfast, set out on a full day game drive, where you’ll have the opportunity to witness the park’s diverse wildlife in their natural habitat. Depending on the time of year, you may even catch the dramatic scenes of the Great Migration as thousands of wildebeests and zebras cross the plains in search of greener pastures. A packed lunch will be enjoyed in the bush, allowing you to stay within the park and maximize your game-viewing experience. As the sun sets, return to your lodge to unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures over dinner.
Depart the Serengeti in the morning and head to the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most stunning natural wonders. Upon arrival, descend into the Crater for a thrilling game drive. The Crater is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five: lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, and buffalo. The lush landscape is dotted with lakes, forests, and open grasslands, providing the perfect habitat for a variety of species. After a picnic lunch in the Crater, continue your game drive before ascending back to the Crater rim. Your evening will be spent at a lodge overlooking the Crater, offering panoramic views of this incredible natural amphitheater.
Today, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. The Crater is often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” and for good reason. Its unique ecosystem, enclosed by steep walls, supports a dense concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five. The Crater floor is a dynamic mix of forests, savannahs, and swamps, providing habitats for a diverse array of species. After a picnic lunch in this extraordinary setting, continue exploring before ascending to your lodge for the evening.
