Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be warmly greeted by your driver-guide and transferred to your lodge in Lake Manyara. After checking in and freshening up, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park for your first game drive. The park is renowned for its scenic beauty, rich birdlife, and unique tree-climbing lions. As you explore the diverse habitats, keep an eye out for elephants, hippos, and flamingos along the lake shores. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner, where you can relax and reflect on your first day in Tanzania.
After breakfast, depart for the famous Serengeti National Park. En route, you may stop for a visit to a local Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions. Upon entering the Serengeti, enjoy an en-route game drive as you travel to your lodge. The Serengeti is home to an incredible array of wildlife, and your guide will help you spot animals as you drive through the plains. Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, where you can unwind and savor dinner while enjoying the sounds of nature around you.
This day is dedicated to exploring the Serengeti’s vast landscapes and wildlife. After an early breakfast, embark on a full day of game drives, equipped with a packed lunch to enjoy in the field. Depending on the season, you may witness the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeests and zebras traverse the plains in search of fresh grazing. The Serengeti is also known for its population of big cats, including lions and leopards. As you traverse the park, your guide will share insights into the wildlife and ecosystems, ensuring you have an enriching experience. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and relaxation.
After breakfast, take a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before making your way to the Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy the stunning landscapes as you drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon arrival at the Ngorongoro Crater, check in to your lodge, which boasts breathtaking views of the crater floor. Dinner will be served at the lodge, allowing you to unwind after a day of exploration.
On your final day, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is known for its incredible biodiversity and is often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” You’ll have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, including elephants, lions, and rhinos, all thriving within this unique ecosystem. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the crater before continuing your game drive. In the late afternoon, begin your journey back to Arusha, where your safari adventure concludes. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have time to explore the town or visit a local market before your transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
